Next Apple Flagship Store To Be In Lonsdale Street Melbourne?

All you Victorian Apple fanboys longing for a flagship Apple Store to call your own, Asher Moses from the Sydney Morning Herald yesterday reported that there’s a good chance you’ll get your wish at the expense of Lonsdale House.

It’s far from confirmed, however. At the moment, all we know is that the company behind developing the site into a shopping emporium is “in talks” with Apple over the location. They did, however, use the idea of a flagship Apple store as the front of the new retail mecca in their artistic concept design of the location.

If Apple are to open a store at this location, don’t expect too much info from the Cupertino company until they decide to advertise shop listings on their website…

  1. it’s unlikely really
especially as the developer has identified apple as a potential anchor tenant. Apple doesn’t like people stealing their thunder. Also it’s not a good spot for apple – it’s a bit of a shitty spot in town. And I can’t imagine apple being happy with a lonsdale street address. If anything I would say they’d be after a Collins Street address…
